Okay, now for my story...

Who did you kiss at midnight?....

Well, I didn't kiss anyone at midnight. I had a fairly mellow New Years. Dropped my roomie off at a party mingled there for a bit and then went over to my church to bring in the new year there. I went there by myself which was fine. I just wanted to go to The Vine for their New Year celebration. (BTW, if you live in Northridge and are looking for a fun college/young adult environment it's amazing! You should go.)

So, I'm standing there, singing and having fun being there when all of a sudden I see my childhood sweetheart two rows in front of me. I contemplated going to sit next to him. I have seen him before that night and knew that he wouldn't mind me sitting there by him. But, I didn't I just wanted to be myself for some reason.

Anyway, I am sitting there and having fun singing and listening to the words of wisdom being spoken throughout the service and then finally its the countdown until midnight.  Everyone is excited including me. And, then its Happy New Year! I hugged some random girl I don't even know because I was excited and just wanted to hug someone. LOL! I do random stuff like that.

Anyway, then my childhood sweetheart, I guess he noticed me there waved to me and then came and gave me a hug too! I don't know why but, for some reason it was just the sweetest hug ever. You know, just one of those hugs that makes you happy to know someone like that person and happy that you guys shared memorable childhood moments together.

I stayed at church for a little while longer and then had to go pick up my roomie from the party. As I walked out I ran into childhood sweetheart again. I tried talking to him and then I like spazzed or something. I became awkward. Oh boy! I hardly ever talk to this person anymore and now he is going to think I'm a spaz so, I just left before I could do anymore damage.

So, no, I didn't kiss anyone at midnight but, I shared a special moment with someone from my childhood. It was a special night for me. I was happy! IDK why but, I was happy...

Until I had to pick up my roomie...LOL! But, that's a story for another time.

So, what special New Years Eve moment did you have?  Tell me about it.  I'd love to hear.

Love you!

Byee! and Peace in 2009!

  1. My count down to midnight and the all hopeful 2009 was the essence of unexciting. The toast at midnight wasn't as usual but warm none the less. I predicted change in 2008 and got that in our new elected president. 2009 I predict hope for whatever your heart is hoping to come true.
    Ciao Y'all.
